I yesterday bumped into a copy of"To Sir With Love" by ER Braithwaste, so many memories came to mind and the picture above says a mouth full. I watched the movie version of the book in school but never got around reading the book. The movie introduced me to Sydney Poitier and I have been a fan of his work since.Last night when I saw the copy I immediately grabbed it.When I got home I could not put it down, its almost as if I've never seen the movie, somehow its like my brain has blocked the events that happened on the movie. I found the characters so new and like every good book I am missing them already and can't wait to get lost in their world once again tonight. I was reminded of my high shool days when the last thing one wanted to hear was another Macbeth reading or Romeo and Juliet and as if the unniverse saw one's pain, you willl get ino the class and find "the tv stand".I was never fond of this movies especially beacuse of the king james english gees, but they kept one going. I recently watched Gladiator when your aunt was visiting, the only reason I watched it was because I met a guy a few months back who is into this sort of movies and I like him a bit more than the others. I think more than I liking him it has a lot to do with the calm way he explained his taste, he did not try to recruit me into liking them or belittle any other genre. He simply said that his was an acquired taste, that he understands if others don't like this type of movies. A real gentleman. Will one day tell you all about him, still trying to get my head around that........... until then I'll be reading my novels and hoping we don't get another cold front soon!!!!!
