I VOW TO READ THE WRITTEN
WORD!

Growing up I read a lot. I come from a family that reads and had a library card almost all my life while staying with my folks. My parents are both theology graduates and my dad for one has a library. I have often gone to his books at certain points in my life when I needed answers and I owe him a book or two. He has also shared certain books with me to read but I must admit some of his books are a bit intimidating, they are just so....well  scholastic. I remember in my early teens I used to read a lot of romance novels and  he did not like this. He bought me a very thick novel with three stories in one, just to get me to stop reading my romance novels. I am still not sure why he disapproved of my reading choice but reckon he thought I'll run after boys-lol. My mom and older sister helped me read the book, we took turns reading different chapters and relating the stories to each other. I still have the book and two of the stories on the novel where later made into movies. They where The little Princess ( a rich girl who went to a prestigious boarding school that got treated terribly after her father was assumed dead) and The Secret Garden (a story about an orphaned  rich spoiled girl who had a strange love for a certain garden) the last story was Little Lord Fautleroy ( a poor boy who won the heart of his heartless rich grandfather)I hope I got them all right. I remember I cried a lot reading this stories and I enjoyed them though. Your aunt Mpho is also one person who reads a lot, I had lots of trips with her to the library. Mom still goes to the library a lot even now, she likes to research staff and always gets my dad to follow her on her discoveries. Her latest craze is seeds, she and dad I are now eating seeds like you won't believe. Every time I see my dad, he is having one of those small paper bags from fruits & veg chewing some nut of sort ( things we make our partners do-the manipulated man-lol). Some of my early memories have to do with reading my dads' Readers Digest Mags, my mom does not read any magazine so the only mags the family had were my dad's subscription to Reader's Digest. I remember I loved their jokes columns and opened the mags very time the post came. I think everyone at home reads my younger siblings love and have all read the Harry Potter's series and of course Twilight saga, its a pity Papa is a bit out of it or I know he would have stopped them a long time ago. I mean this books are just evil if you ask me, vampires and witches I mean really now! but they all like the rest are loving them. I on the other hand no,no! I have now since moved to a new place and was saying to Lerato  yesterday I think its time I read again. The new place is more quite and laid back. I can do so much here. Stay away from E entertainment and get lost in the world of books again. I know it will improve my writing and make me appreciate literature for what it is all over again. Your aunt Lerato still reads a lot,she always has a book or two on her laptop. Hope we will share a lot of books together. The last book we shared was " a million pieces"and we had lots of fun reviewing it. I can't wait........
