PINK TIME!
Last night was FUN, mommy got to mingle with some interesting characters. We had a cocktail party to welcome our office into the company. The turnover was great from bond originators, realtor's, attorneys, developers etc the whole nine yards. Like any party with such a diverse group things started mellow with everyone still dressed in their "suit faces". When the crowed warmed up to each other it got pretty hectic. Let me start of by saying I now want to practise law more today than ever before, attorneys are fun, they are really fun. I always saw them as this boring bunch who just carry big suitcases around. Don't get me wrong I love law and anyone who knows me well will tell you this has been on mommy's to do list for a while.I just had the impression that the industry was a bit boring in terms of social credits (for lack of better words). The one guy who motivated me in recent years to want to go to law school is a friend of my ex. He is brilliant at what he does, he can argue anything. I've seen him in action, he represented me a few years back in high court. He is the type of guy that can get himself out of any corner.I enjoyed this about him BUT socially well lets just say....( )! I also latley befriended one attorney and I find that he is interesting simply cause I hang out with him one on one and most people are OK when you get exposed to them on this level. So what I experienced last night was on another tip. They were the life of the party, the was about four attorneys all from different firms. One of them kept wanting to make a toast about how we are all gonna make money and be rich, he was so funny every time I looked his way I could not help but crack up. I could not get enough of them, they made the party so much fun. On the business side my boss (she is not really my boss anymore but it will take me a while before I get used to the idea) and I where happy to have a particular developer come to our party. One person who also got me going was a lady who was so tipsy she was insisting on telling me about a tender she won. It had something to do with fully figured women underwear, I could not understand half of what she was saying but she made me laugh out loud. When everyone was going guess which group stayed until late-yippee attorneys and some ladies from their offices.Because we were the hosting team we had to stay until they left. It was a GOOD NIGHT!
